Treaaron is situated in the village of St Merryn.
St.Merryn offering everything for your daily needs with a filling station, car repair facilities, post office, small convenience stores, surf shops, news agents, cafe, C of E church, Methodist chapel, art gallery, bakery and pasty shop, wine bar and public houses.
The village also has a variety of dining options that should be booked in advance to avoid disappointment including ‘The Dogs House Diner’, ‘Waves’, ‘The Ivy House’, ‘The Seven Bays’, ‘Trevose Golf Club’. Some of these restaurants offer a take away service and the village also caters for fish and chips at ‘Friar Tucks’, Pizza at ‘Waves’ and a choice of Indian and Chinese take aways. Pub grub is also available at our 2 well respected public houses, ‘The Farmers Arms’ in the centre of the village and ‘The Cornish Arms’ a more traditional pub opposite the church now owned and run by Rick Stein.
Nearby Constantine Bay is a 15 minute walk or a 5 minute drive away. It offers an excellent convenience store, surf shop and the Trevose Golf Club.
Other leisure facilities locally catered for are horse riding, tennis, golf at Trevose, St.Enodoc and Merlin courses, surfing, sailing, water skiing, fishing, go karting at St Eval, coastal and rural walking. Of course we still have the traditional family attraction of our beautiful sandy beaches and coves with the parish of St.Merryn boasting ‘Seven Bays for Seven Days’. Our nearest beach is Constantine Bay, a large expanse of golden sands, rock pools and sand dunes, popular with surfers, sun worshippers and families alike. Porthcothan, Treyarnon, Boobys, Mother Iveys, Harlyn and Trevone bays are all within a short drive. All offer convenient parking and several have nearby beach shops, catering outlets, cafes, pubs, ice cream vendors and toilet facilities.
